Музей фольклора Арты

Как и большинство музеев города Арта, музей фольклора - это своего рода “погружение в тему”. Музей небольшой. И хотя залов много, все они небольшие и выглядят как комнаты. Каждая посвящена какой-то одной теме. Чаще всего эта тема выбирается по географическому признаку (области Эпира), но не только. Например, в одном зале, “религиозном”, посетители могут видеть реликвии древнего храма Святого Димитрия (есть и новый, он находится в центре города Арты). Есть зал, который представляет собой “комнату обычного жителя Арты”, а есть - целую площадь Монополиу.

Обувь, одежда, предметы быта - все здесь помещено в аутентичную атмосферу прошлых лет. Кстати, об атмосфере - она создается огромным количеством фотографий самого разного масштаба, различными вывесками и этикетками. Находится музей в старинном доме, прямо у исторического моста Арты.

Часы работы: 10:00-14:00, без выходных, вход 1 евро.

 

Добраться до музея фольклора Арты просто - пешком из центра минут десять. Можно, впрочем. и на машине - по трассе Арта-Неохори.

The Folklore Museum of Arta is housed in a beautiful, traditional, two storeys house, adjacent to the Historical Bridge. The house itself has its own history. Built in 1884 by an Austrian architect, it was originally used as an outpost of the bridge and later as the Turkish frontier station, where after the Treaty of 1881, the border between Greece and Turkey was in the middle of the bridge. Although it is small, the museum is very well made, with each of its rooms dedicated to a specific historic area. The religious room contains relics of the old church of St. Demetrios (the new one is in the city center), while the room which is dedicated to the Historical Bridge, is decorated in a way to resemble as one of its arches. Among the interesting exhibits of the Museum you will also see the interior of an old traditional house, a number of agricultural tools from earlier times, and the square Monopoleiou, with the old shops and their original labels, giving us the opportunity to take a look at the old Arta. Visiting hours: Monday to Sunday, 10:00-16:00, ticket price: 1 euro.

 

How to get there: By car (or on foot from the center of Arta) via the provincial Road Arta-Neochori, near the Historical Bridge of Arta.
