Мегаро Мусикис Афинон

“Дом музыки” расположен в самом центре Афин и вот уже два десятилетия выполняет роль официального “Дома оперы”. Еще его называют “Мегаро Мусикис Афинон”. “Дом музыки” был открыт в 1991 году и имел в то время два зала. Позже его перестроили, так что сейчас там уже четыре зала: два больших и два маленьких. Здесь созданы прекрасные условия для проведения оперных спектаклей. Фасад здания развивает тему современного академического классицизма с большими колоннами и белым мрамором. Здание занимает площадь 8000 кв.м., а его замечательный сад открыт для всех желающих.

 

Станция метро “Мегаро Мусикис” находится непосредственно у входа в дом музыки.

Located in the center of Athens, it is the Official House of Opera and the classic music for the last two decades. It is widely known as Megaro Mousikis Athinon. The imposing building was inaugurated in 1991 with two halls. Since then it has been augmented with two more halls and now has a total of four: two large and two smaller ones. It has optimal facilities for opera performances, and some operas are presented here every season. The architecture of the building follows somehow the modern academic classicism of the American Embassy of Walter Gropius and of Hilton Hotel, featuring big columns and white marble lining. The building occupies 8,000 square meters and its beautiful garden is open for the public and often hosts concerts.
