Заппео
Наряду с Неоклассической трилогией, дворец Заппео (Zappeion) считается одной из красивейших построек новейшей истории Греции. Расположен он рядом с Национальным садом - излюбленным местом отдыха афинян, неподалеку от площади Синдагма. Идея строительства как парка, так и дворца принадлежала известному греческому филантропу Евангелису Заппасу. Оне же был инициатором возрождения олимпийских игр. Дворец Запео был возведен в целях репрезентации Греции и был открыт незадолго перед началом новой олимпиады в 1888 году. В наши дни дворец используется для проведения официальных и частных церемоний.

Zappeion
The Zappeion is included in the list of the most beautiful and important buildings of Athens. It is located in the National Gardens in the heart of the city, and the district which was developed around the building took its name. Responsible for the construction and financier was Evangelos Zappas, a Greek patriot, philanthropist and businessman, who is recognized today as the founder of the modern Olympic Games. Moreover the Zappeio was the first building to be erected specifically for the revival of the Olympic Games and it was launched on October 20, 1988. The gorgeous garden of Zappeio is also famous and one of the few places in Athens that is ideal for walks on sunny days. It is surrounded by the streets of Herodes Atticus - Vas. Konstantinou - Vas. Olgas - Vas. Amalia and the National Gardens. The building is generally used for meetings and ceremonies, both official and private.
