Власть и Сила ведут пленного Прометея к скале, где он будет прибит за игнорирование воли Зевса и кражу огня, который он хотел отдать людям. За свою борьбу против тирании нераскаявшийся герой Эсхила примет мученические страдания. Режиссер новой плеяды Экторас Лигизос, исследующий понятия “повествования” и “постановки” древней драмы в условиях закрытого театра, на этот раз опробует динамику больших открытых пространств трагедией Эсхила. The Athens and Epidaurus Festival: Prometheus Bound
The State and the Violence lead the captive Prometheus to a rock, where they nail him for ignoring the will of Zeus and stealing the fire to give it to the people. As an archetypal form against tyranny, the impenitent hero of Aeschylus will suffer the martyrdom. The director of the younger generation, Ektoras Lygizos, who started to investigate with particular devotion the terms “narrative” and “representation” of the ancient drama in the enclosed theaters, now is testing the dynamic of the large open spaces with the famous tragedy of Aeschylus.
