Музей Акрополя

Музей Акрополя - это один из важнейших музеев Афин. Если вы приехали в Афины на один день и не знаете в какой музей пойти, то музей Акрополя будет, пожалуй, лучшим выбором.

Новое здание музея было открыто в 2009 году и представляет собой огромное суперсовременное здание с стеклянными стенами. Внутренние залы своей формой и пропорциями в точности соответствуют Парфенону. Это было сделано не случайно - все экспонаты выставлены здесь в полном соответствии с тем, как они располагались прежде. Тут же находится читальный зал, книжные магазины, сувенирные лавки, несколько ресторанов и кафе. И что самое главное, практически, их любой точки музея можно любоваться Акрополем, видом археологических раскопок Макриянис и остатками (если можно так выразиться) Афин греческого, римского и византийского периодов.

Последний запуск посетителей осуществляется за полчаса до закрытия. Цена билета 5 евро.

If you have the time to visit just one museum in Athens, then the Acropolis Museum is the one you cannot miss. This majestic museum houses every object that has been found during the excavation on the sacred rock of the Acropolis and its foothills, encompassing a broad period from the Mycenaean period to the Roman and early Christian Athens. Each hall is a shrine to the greatness of the most glorious city of the antiquity. It is built over the archaeological area Makriyannis with remnants of Roman and early Byzantine Athens, which you can see through the transparent floor of the museum. The impressive new building was founded in 2003 and opened to the public on June 21, 2009. It features a reading room on the second floor with views of the Caryatids and the Hekatompedos Pediment, where visitors can relax on comfortable chairs and read books about the Acropolis and the classical world. It also provides a Cafe on the ground floor level and a Restaurant on the second floor, with panoramic views of the Acropolis and free wi-fi internet access (8.00 a.m. - 8.00 p.m.). The Acropolis Museum hosts two Shops, one at the ground floor and one next to the Museum Restaurant on the second floor. The Shop at the ground floor features a broad selection of postcards, paper goods and the Museum’s children’s gift range, while the second floor’s Shop offers a wide range of book titles about the Acropolis and related topics, as well as functional items and gifts. Because of the importance of the exhibits, upon arrival at the Museum, visitors go through an X-Ray baggage control system.
