Иллюминация на улице Питтаки

Среди многочисленных узких улочек богемного района Псири улица Питтаки особенная. Все дело в том, что по инициативе местных жителей вся улица, которая и так интересна своими граффити, украшена висящими на натянутых между домами веревках всевозможными люстрами и лампами. И эти так сказать световые объекты еще и выполняют свою непосредственную функцию. Тут можно смело назначать свидания в любое время суток. Как раз тот случай, когда “не только стильно и красиво”, но и полезно.

 

Улица Питтаки находится в трех минутах ходьбы от метро Монастираки.

It is night. You walk through the narrow roads of the area Psyrri in Athens and your steps bring you at the Pittaki street. And suddenly the  night is not dark at all. You raise your head and you have the impression that the sky is a ceiling from which chandeliers and other types of ceiling fixtures are hanged the one next to the other among the buildings. No, you are not drunk. This is reality. Pure magic or else what a few citizens can do when they want to make their neighborhood more beautiful. The “Plus-house Pittakis” is formed by the coordination group “Imagine the City”, as part of the campaign “We believe in a better tomorrow”. A street that worths a visit, especially the night.
