Деревня Дельфы
В древности город Дельфы считался “центром мира” во многом благодаря оракулу, без решения которого не принимались важные решения. В наши дни это маленький современный туристический городок. Он расположен у подножия горы Парнас, всего в двух километрах от древних Дельфов. Еще одна точка притяжения этого места - расположенный неподалеку горнолыжный курорт Парнас. Из-за относительной близости к Афинам (2 часа на машине) - это место весьма популярно, особенно по выходным. В остальном - это типичная греческая деревня (или городок) с традиционной архитектурой и захватывающими видами на оливковые рощи и Итейский залив. Тут, как и в деревне Арахова, немало таверн, кафе и магазинов, где вы сможете купить местные сувениры.
Как добраться:
- на машине из Афин (178 км) по национальной трассе E75 / A1. далее по трассе Левадия-Амфиса EO48
- на машине из Салоников (380 км) по трассе E75
- на автобусе из Афин с автовокзала Лиссион (260 Liossion Avenue) до города Дельфы,

Delphi
In the antiquity, Delphi was one of the most known cities of Greece, mainly because of the majestic Oracle which was the most important one of the ancient world. Today, Delphi is a beautiful modern town, located at the foot of mount Parnassus, just a breath away from the archaeological site. Although it has not maintained any particular traditional architectural element, it is a lovely place to visit. The proximity to Athens (only 2 hours drive), to the archaeological site (just 10 km away) and the ski center of Parnassus are among the reasons which make Delphi very popular, especially during the weekends. Here you will enjoy a walk on the main streets Pavlou & Frederikis and Apollonos, which are the most vivid places of the town, since they are framed by dozens of traditional taverns and cafes where you can sit and enjoy the marvelous view to the olive grove of Amfissa and the gulf of Itea. It is needless to say that you will also find many shops to buy folklore local products and many hotels and guest rooms to stay.
How to get there: By car from Athens (distance 178 km) via Α/Δ ΠΑΘΕ/E75/Α1 and National Road Livadeia-Amfissa/ΕΟ48, from Thessaloniki (distance 380 km) via E75.
