Сивота
Несмотря на то что Сивота довольно молодое поселение (XIX век), это место известно с древних времен. Именно здесь флот коринфян победил жителей Корфу в 433 году до н.э во время Пелопонесской войны.
Пляжи Сивоты считаются одними из лучших в Эпире. Один из них - Галикос, песчаный и находится в самом центре деревни - здесь расположено немало кафе и таверн, где можно насладиться местными деликатессами. Пляж Пишина расположен на островке Агиос Николаос и его спокойные воды напомнят вам о бассейене. Добраться до него можно на лодке. Пляж Зери, также песчаный, находится сразу за пляжем Геликос и особо любим ценителями “дикого” отдыха. А самым экзотическим пляжем не только Сивоты, да и всего Эпира считается Белла Врака. Он находится на островке Муртемено и дойдете вы до него вброд.
Помимо удивительных пляжей в Сивоте также есть немало мест, которые имеет смысл посетить. Одно из них - внушительный маяк на островке Мавро Орос. Он был построен в 1884 году и имеет высоту 14 метров. Тут же расположен еще один великолепный пляж. Если отправится к юго-востоку от Сивоты, то можно посетить заброшенное поселение Врахона. Здесь находится порядка пятидесяти заброшенных домов XVIII-XIX веков. Впрочем, это не самое интересное. В западной части Врахоны можно увидеть останки укреплений доисторического периода. Также имеет смысл отправится с однодневной экскурсией в город Парга и на остров Пакси.

- на машине из Арты (112 км) по трассе Эгнатия Одос А2\Е90
- на машине из Парги (33,2 км) по местной трассе Парга-Пердика
- на машине из Игуменицы (26 км) по трассе Превеза-Игуменица
- на автобусе из Афин с автовокзала Кифисью до Игуменицы (далее до Сивоты). Из Игуменицы до Сивоты ходят 2 ежедневных автобуса, время в пути - 40 минут. Автостанция Игуменицы, тел. +30 26650 22 309

Syvota
Lovely seaside village is looking for new fans. And why not? Syvota is one of the most beautiful settlements of the prefecture of Thesprotia, in Epirus. Combining the green of the trees that adorn the surrounding mountains and the blue of the sea that embraces the village, it promises dreamy vacations in a wonderful location.
Picturesque houses, quaint paved little roads, a nice central square and a little port will remind you of an island. Two beautiful islets, the Agios Nickolaos and the Mavro Oros, guard the beautiful bay, which is full of boats and yachts. Oh yes, Syvota is a cosmopolitan destination.
Although Syvota is a rather new settlement (was built around the 19th century), the area was known since the antiquity as Syvota Islands (along with Agios Nickolaos and Mavro Oros) and in its bay was where the Corinthian fleet had won the Corfiots in the naval battle of 433 BC, during the Peloponnesean War.
What can you do in Syvota, besides enjoying the amazing beaches of the area (we will come to that shortly)? You can visit the imposing Lighthouse of the Mavro Oros islet. It was built in 1884 and it has a height of 14 meters. You can go there by boat from Syvota and then explore the islet and enjoy its beautiful beach. You can also visit the old settlement of Vrachona, located on a hill, southeast of Syvota. It is consisted of about 50 abandoned traditional houses, built between the 18th and the 19th century. At the west of Vrachona there are the ruins of a small prehistoric citadel, which is actually the only example of fortified prehistoric settlement in the wider area of Thesprotia. From Syvota, you can also organize excursions to Parga or Paxoi, just to make a mini break from the tropical beaches of the village. Or you can just stay the whole day at these magical beaches, which are the main reason to visit Syvota after all.
The beaches of Syvota are among the most beautiful of Epirus. Are you ready for a short dive? Bella Vraka: A fabulous exotic beach that you will love istantly. Gallikos: A sandy beach near the center of the village, with a small cafe where you can enjoy your coffee and local delights. Pisina: It is located in the islet of Agios Nickolaos and its amazing transparent calm waters will remind you of a pool. After all, pisina in English means pool. You can go by boat from Syvota. Zeri: Right after the beach of Gallikos, also sandy and beautiful. In the wider area of Syvota, you can also find more amazing beaches, as long as you are nor bored to drive and explore the region.
How to get there: By car from Athens (distance 447 km) via E65, from Arta (distance 112 km) via E55, from Preveza (distance 88,8 km) via E55, from Ioannina (distance 97,9 km) via Egnatia Odos/A2/E90, from Parga (distance 33,2 km) via Provincial Road Parga-Perdika, from Igoumenitsa (distance 26,7 km) via National Highway Preveza-Igoumenitsa. By bus from Athens (or other Greek cities) to Igoumenitsa and then to Syvota. There are two daily routes from Igoumenitsa to Syvota and the trip lasts about 40 minutes.
